PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the windy noise by forming cross sectional shape of a handrail member into a nearly elliptic shape having a longitudinal axis, and arranging the handrail members in parallel with each other so that the longitudinal axis of each handrail member is inclined in opposite directions each other. SOLUTION: A handrail 1 is provided on the floor 6 while arranging plural bar-like handrail member 5 having a length L in parallel with each other with a space P between a right and a left supports 2, 2 and between an upper frame 3 and a lower frame 4. The handrail member 5 is formed into an elliptic shape, of which cross sectional shape is surrounded by a smooth curved surface. The handrail members 5 having the elliptic cross section are arranged with a constant pitch P while being inclined in opposite directions each other so that the adjacent handrail members 5 form a-shape. Since the cross section of each handrail member is formed into the elliptic shape without having corners and the handrail members are arranged while being inclined in the opposite directions each other so that the cross section of the adjacent handrail members is formed into the-shape, windy noise can be effectively prevented by the simple structure.
