PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a rotation detection performance by extending a projecting tooth. SOLUTION: In a sheet metal toothed ring 1a integrating a bearing part 2, a flange part 3 and projecting teeth 4 formed on a flange part surface by shearing, the projecting teeth 4 are arranged at least in the rear side of the bearing part 2. In producing the toothed ring 1a, the projecting teeth 4 extending in the radial direction are formed to an annular plate material by shearing including semi-shearing, at this time simultaneously the peripheral part of one end side of the projecting teeth 4 is formed to a thin thickness or cut for separation. Further, the plate material including the thin thickness part or the cut part is formed to a cylindrical form, after restriking and trimming, to make a product.
