PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper/lower separate type or open/close type portable toilet capable of disposing of excrement after stool speedily to keep the environment always sanitary and comfortable. SOLUTION: This toilet is made of a synthetic resin, chilled glass, ceramics, etc., comprising upper and lower excrement tanks which are of the open/close type or of the separate type with a spindle 8 as the axis. A highly permeable or water-absorptive waste bag 4 is detachably attached to a lower spout 3 in the inner excrement tank 1 by means of a suitable stopper member 5. The total inner surface of the inner excrement tank 1 is coated with stainless steel or Teflon to prevent adhesion of fifth such as excrement and to make the fifth easily flow down, so that the inner surface of the inner excrement tank 1 is always kept clean.
