PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material which can be integrally formed with high efficiency and adhesion and in a short time by injection-molding a thermoplastic material onto a metal plate and is suited for use as a lidded gasket or the like for storing electronic equipment. SOLUTION: This composite material comprises a metal plate and two thermoplastic material layers of a layer A and a layer B sequentially laminated on the metal plate. The layer A is made of a thermoplastic material which is thermally fused to the thermoplastic material of the layer B and the metal plate is tightly bonded with the layer (A). Further, the layer A and the layer B are thermally fused into a single piece.
