PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a planographic printing original plate, the plate making method of which requires no alkaline developer and with which an excellent picture quality printing plate is produced through an enough maintenance of the discriminating property between an image part and a non-image part, and a printing method. SOLUTION: The printing original plate has a layer produced by anodizing at least either one metal selected from the group consisting of Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Mo and W. By irradiating an image-like active light (heat mode type) or an abrasion type laser light over the printing original plate, an image is recorded. By bringing an irradiating surface in contact with a printing ink, the irradiated region is formed into an ink receiving printing surface for the execution of a printing. |
