PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well improve the blocking preventiveness of intermediate films during storage to each other and the workability at the time of superposing glass sheets and the intermediate films on each other by specifying the glosiness of embossed surfaces to a specific range. SOLUTION: The intermediate film for glass is specified in the glosiness of the embossed surface measured in compliance with JIS Z 8741 to a range of 5 to 12%. Further, the total ray transmittance of the intermediate film for glass is preferably 25 to 40%. The total ray transmittance is measured in compliance with JIS K 7105. The adhesive power of a pair of embossing rolls and a thermoplastic resin sheet at 20 deg.C at the time of transfer of the surface shape of the roll to the surface of the sheet by passing the sheet between a pair of the rolls is preferably specified to <=150 g/cm in the production of the intermediate film for glass in order to obtain the glossiness and total ray transmittance of such range. The depth and height of the recessed parts and projecting parts of the embossing are particularly preferably specified to a range of 20 to 50μm.
