PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device simple in structure, obtaining sufficient strength and absorbing shake when lateral buildings shake longitudinally and laterally, so as to be put back into the original state without being damaged. SOLUTION: This joint cover device is composed of a plurality of support bodies fixed at specified spaces to a floor part skeleton or a ceiling member on the joint part side of one building out of lateral buildings built through a joint part; a guide rail fixed to the floor part skeleton or ceiling member on the joint part side of the other building, at a part corresponding to a plurality of support bodies. A plurality of support bars arranged in the inclined state with one end parts pivotally supported to a plurality of support bodies and with the other end parts slidably supported to the guide rail; and a joint cover pivotally supported to the almost center parts of a plurality of support bars by pivot pins so that both ends cover a floor part or a ceiling member part on the joint part side of the lateral buildings.
