PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor furnished with a tilt stopper of a good workability. SOLUTION: To a swivel bracket 11, the lever 43 of a tilt stopper 41 is installed rotatable. To an installing bracket 2, a locking part 56 to lock the lever of the tilt stopper is provided. While the lever of the tilt stopper can be housed between the swivel bracket and the installing bracket in the tilt down condition, the tilt down is prevented by rotating the bar of the tilt stopper and engaging it to the locking part of the installing bracket, by rotating the lever of the tilt stopper, in the tilt up condition.
