PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven or a knitted fabric of polyester filament yarns having excellent antimicrobial properties in spite of shape stability, strength retention, or the like, possessed thereby. SOLUTION: The characteristic of this woven or knitted fabric is to use polyester filament yarns which have >=0.12 m2 filament surface area based on 1 g of the woven or knitted fabric, 200-700 molecular weight and 0.3-1.4 inorganic value/organic value and contain a pyridine-based antimicrobial agent having <=2 μm average particle diameter and to have >=2.2 value of the bacteriostatic activity. |
