PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material expressed by a specific formula, high in emission brightness and emitting efficiency, excellent in stability in repeated uses and useful for organic electroluminescent elements, etc., of surface light sources, etc. SOLUTION: This material is expressed by formula I [B is boron; A is a 3-15 valent group; Ar1 and Ar2 are each a (substituted)alkyl, a (substituted)single ring group or the like; Ar1 and Ar2 may be integrated by bonding to each other. At least one of A, Ar1 and Ar2 is an aromatic ring, etc.], e.g. a compound, etc., expressed by formula II. It is preferable to bring the composition to contain the aforesaid material as a single compound or a mixture to make elements. To obtain the aforementioned compound, it is preferable to react a lithium compound having a 3-15 valent residue corresponding to formula I with a boron derivative having Ar1, Ar2 and fluorine in a solvent of tetrahydrofuran.
