PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair cosmetic having few feeling of stickiness to hair, giving glossiness and a feeling of wetness to the hair and excellent in retention of hair style after setting one's hair by including a specific acrylic copolymer and an oil component for a hair-treating agent and by dissolving the copolymer in the hair-treating agent. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic is comprised by including (A) an acrylic copolymer, having 5000-500000 weight-average molecular weight, containing (i) 55-95 wt.% unit based on (meth)acrylic ester having a 12-30C aliphatic hydrocarbon group and (ii) 5-45 wt.% unit based on a hydrophilic unsaturated monomer selected from a cationic unsaturated monomer, an anionic unsaturated monomer, amine oxide-based amphoteric unsaturated monomer and a nonionic unsaturated monomer (the total amount of the components i and ii is set to 100 wt.%) and (B) an oil component for a hair-treating agent (ex. castor oil, etc.), and by dissolving the component A in the component B. In the hair cosmetic, preferably 0.1-20 wt.% component A and 0.1-99.5 wt.% component B are included.
