PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seed disinfectant applied in a low rate, having a wide antibacterial spectrum and stably showing disease control effect on chemical tolerance bacilli as well by including a specific cyclopentanol compound and a specific phosphonium salt as effective ingredients. SOLUTION: This seed disinfectant comprises (A) 2-(4-chlorobenzyl)-5- isopropyl-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)-1-cyclopentanol of formula I and (B) a tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium salt of formula II [wherein, (n) is 1-3; X is an anion such as sulfate] as effective ingredients. The weight content ratio of the ingredient A to the ingredient B is preferably (1:0.1)-(1:200), more preferably (1:0.5)-(1:30). The disinfectant is effective against Glume blight, disease infected with Gibberella fujikuroi or the like.
