PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring diameter adjusting mechanism for accessories, which has a simple, structure, facilitates operation for adjusting a length and further can be surely engaged when keeping a prescribed length, in the ring diameter adjusting mechanism for accessories to use a necklace, a bracelet and other chains. SOLUTION: Concerning the ring diameter adjusting mechanism for accessories to use the necklace, the bracelet and the other chains, this mechanism is composed of a hollow housing 11 provided with a pair of opening parts for inserting the chains and a coil spring 12 incorporated therein, one end of the coil spring 12 is fixed by the hollow housing and the other end is made into free end. By pressing a chain 5 inserted from an opening part 15 to the hollow housing 11 with the energizing force of the coil spring 12, the hollow housing 11 is held at the prescribed position of the chain and by enabling the chain to slide against the energizing force of the coil spring 12, the ring diameter of accessories is adjusted.
