PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydraulic calcium phosphate cement composition having a proper hardening rate, excellent operability, making calcium phosphate compound formed with hardening readily absorbable in an organism bone and carrying out bone substitution. SOLUTION: This hydraulic calcium phosphate cement composition comprises calcium phosphate cement powder containing anhydrous calcium primary phosphate powder and/or calcium primary phosphate hydrate powder and β type calcium tertiary phosphate powder and at least one kind of reaction retarder selected from gluconic acid, its salt, ascorbic acid, its salt, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, its salt, alanine and its salt, etc. The amount of the reaction retarder is 1-15 pts.wt., especially 1-10 pts.wt., further 1-5 pts.wt. when the total of the calcium phosphate powder and the reaction retarder is 100 pts.wt. When the particle diameter of the reaction retarder is small, the content of the reaction retarder can be reduced. |
