PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating resin composition which forms a coated film showing an excellent dispersion stability, antifouling property, weather resistance, water resistance and adhesion to substrates. SOLUTION: The titled composition comprises an aqueous dispersion of an organic polymer, a colloidal silica and a silane coupling agent, wherein the silane coupling agent is a polyether-modified silane coupling agent or, if required, a combined system of a polyether-modified silane coupling agent and an organic reactive group-containing silane coupling agent. Preferably, the aqueous dispersion of an organic polymer is an aqueous dispersion of either a fluorine-containing polymer or an acrylic polymer.
