PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing performance for a clearance between the hood of a motor vehicle and the front member of a vehicle body. SOLUTION: A seal member 3 sealing a clearance S between a hood 1 and an upper end face 21 of a front member 2 of a vehicle body is provided with a hollow part 5 having a substantially parallelogram cross section using a fixing part 4 as one side in the fixing part 4 and on a front side of the fixing part 4, front and rear longitudinal walls 51, 52 of the hollow part 5 are formed to be inclined faces inclined downward, obliquely, and backward from the fixing part 4 for the direction A of opening and closing of the hood 1 which is opened and closed using a rear end as a turn support point in a condition in which the seal member 3 is mounted, a lip part 6 whose front end is obliquely and downward inclined is formed at a lower end of the front longitudinal wall 51 of the hollow part 5, and the lip part 6 is pushed into the upper end face 21 of the front member 2 of the vehicle body when the hood 1 is closed to prevent the lip part 6 from being pushed forward at this time. |
