PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having strongly inhibiting action on acyl- CoA: cholesterol acyltransferase and useful for therapeutic agents for hyperlipemia and arteriosclerosis, or the therapy and prophylaxis of arteriosclerosis-related diseases. SOLUTION: This new compound is a cycloalkyl compound expressed by formula I [wherein, Y1 and Y2 are each a (substituted) aryl or the like; Y3 is a (substituted) aryl or the like; (n) is 1 or 2] or its prodrug, or its pharmaceutically permissible salt, and is e.g. N-[2,2-bis)4-hydroxyphenyl)cyclopropyl]-N'-(2,6- diisopropylphenyl)urea. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound (e.g. 2,2-diphenylcyclopropanoic acid) of formula II (wherein, Y11 and Y21 are respectively Y1 and Y2 in which reactive groups are protected) with an azidation agent in the presence of a base to obtain a compound of formula III and then by reacting it with a compound of the formula Y31-NH2 (wherein, Y31 is Y3 in which reactive group is protected) in a solvent at a temperature preferably from room temperature to 120 deg.C and, at need, by the deprotection of the reaction product. |
