DEVELOPER, WATER DISPERSION, RECORDING SHEET AND DEVELOPMENT INK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a developer of good dispersion stability, superior light fastness of a white paper and superior water resistance of a recording image and also its water dispersion and manufacture a recording sheet and a development ink thereof. SOLUTION: A developer containing a polyvalent metal salt of a derivative of salicyclic acid contains (a) at least one kind of 30-85 wt.% derivative of salicyclic acid composed of 1-3% mol substituted styrenes in 1 mol salicyclic acid and (b) at least one kind of 15-70 wt.% derivative of salicyclic acid composed of 4 mol substituted styrenes in 1 mol salicyclic acid. The developer contains a water dispersion and a development ink, and a recording sheet is provided with a layer containing the developer on a substrate.
