<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove NOx and SOx in exhaust gas with an apparatus low in running cost and to effectively utilize sludge for ready-mixed concrete or the like. SOLUTION: The denitrification and desulfurization apparatus consists of a gas oxidizing means for bringing NOx and SOx low in a degree of oxidation in exhaust gas into contact with ozone to oxidize the same to form gaseous NO2 and SO3, a hydration means 2 bringing NO2 and SO3 into contact with steam to form gaseous nitric acid and sulfuric acid, an acid fixing means packed with an acid fixing agent obtained by forming ready-mixed concrete sludge and/or concrete particles, which are obtained by crushing a building waste material, fixing nitric acid and sulfuric acid into a granular form by using cement as a binder and an ozone generator 4. This denitrification and desulfurization apparatus is provided in the exhaust system of an engine 9 and a muffler 8 is used as the hydration means 2.</p> |
