PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a filament nonwoven fabric composed of a thermoplastic resin thermally bonded with each other at the crossing points of the fibers, having a fluffing index falling within a specific range, good feeling and high fluffing resistance and giving comfortable feeling to the skin. SOLUTION: The objective filament nonwoven fabric is produced by accumulating thermo-adhesive fibers on a collection conveyor and thermally bonding the crossing points of the thermo-adhesive fibers at a temperature satisfying the formula Mp-70<=Ph<Mp [Ph is preheating temperature ( deg.C); Mp is the melting point ( deg.C) of the resin having lowest melting point among thermoplastic resins constituting the filament]. The fluffing index F of the filament nonwoven fabric satisfies the formula F= Kn(n+1)}÷ΣKn<=1 [(n) is a value defining the range of the fluff length and is 0-10; Kn is the number of fluffs having a fluff length of (n) to (n+1) mm; F=0 whenΣKn=0].
