PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve wet performance and ice performance not only in the initial stage but also in the intermediate stage and terminal stage of tire usage by forming a tread with a rubber composition containing water-soluble fibers and a filler made of silica, aluminum hydroxide or clay. SOLUTION: Water-soluble fibers blended in a rubber composition adapted to a tread are dispersed in the rubber composition, and inner fibers reinforce rubber and maintain block rigidity. The blended quantity of the water-soluble fibers is preferably set to about 1-20 pts.wt. against the rubber component of 100 pts.wt. Silica, aluminum hydroxide and clay used for a filler are used singularly or combinedly and contribute to wet performance. Its blended quantity is preferably set to about 10-100 pts.wt. against the rubber component of 100 pts.wt. Initial maneuvering stability is improved, and wet performance and ice performance are improved in the initial stage and after a travel.
