PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of making the printing information such as arrangement layout information possessed by the printer to be usable in the printing operation by maintaining a user merit in a batch printing operation. SOLUTION: When a printer is in a fixed format batch printing function mode, an operation for generating one page of printing data by a fixed format prepared by a system side is executed in accordance with a printing designation mode in a PDOF file in a fixed format print developing operation (S132). When the printer is in a printing parameter set printing function mode, an operation for generating one page of printing data is executed in accordance with arrangement information of an arrangement layout information template set in a set printing layout developing operation (S133). When one page of printing data is generated by each of the print developing operation, an operation for printing the generated print data on a paper sheet is executed (S134).
