SOLUTION: In this engine, an idle intake quantity adjusting valve 62 is provided on a bypass passage 61 for bypassing a throttle valve 17, the idle intake quantity adjusting valve is operated on the basis of the deviation between the actual engine speed and the target idle speed, and the intake quantity is controlled. The target idle speed can be changed by an idle mode, having an opening not more the preset idle decision throttle opening. For example, the idle opening of the throttle valve 17 can be changed, and the target idle speed is changed on the basis of the changed idle opening. |
