<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleat effectively cooperating with a pedal by providing a first connecting face and a second connecting face removably connecting a bicycle shoe to a bicycle pedal and located between an upper sole face and a lower pedal face, a third connecting face, a central stop face arranged between them, a lug extending outward, and a second connecting section. SOLUTION: A cleat 14 for a bicycle shoe is provided with a central fitting section 100, a first connecting section or connecting member 102 extending from one end section of the fitting section 100, and a second connecting section or connecting member 104 extending from the other end section of the fitting section 100. The first connecting section or first connecting member 102 serves as a front connecting member engaged with a front cleat engaging section, and the second connecting section or second connecting member 104 serves as a rear connecting member coupled with a rear cleat engaging section. The fitting section 100 is provided with an upper sole face facing the first direction for engaging with the sole of the shoe and a lower pedal face facing the second direction substantially opposite to the first direction. The releasing action from a bicycle pedal is improved, and the manufacturing cost is reduced.</p> |
