PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding a ferrule for preparing the ferrule for an optical connector with high dimensional accuracy. SOLUTION: In a mold for molding a ferrule for molding the ferrule with fiber arranging holes, the first mold 1 and the second mold 2 for forming cavity and a slider 3 which has arranged hole forming pins 30 for forming fiber arranging holes and a pin fixing part 31 for fixing the arranging hole forming pins 30 are provided and the first mold 1 and the second mold 2 form gates 11 and 21 being filling holes for a molten resin when the molds are closed and the slider is slidably arranged so as to insert the arranging hole forming pins 30 and the pin fixing part 31 into the cavity and on the gates 11 and 21, when the mold is closed, opening edge parts 11a and 21a of the apex sides (the apex sides of the pins) of the arranging hole forming pins 30 are positioned more at the apex sides of the pins than the end parts 31a of the apex sides of the pins of the pin fixing part 31.
