APPARATUS FOR SLITTING EDGE TAPE ATTACHED TO TIRE STEEL BELT

PURPOSE: A slitting apparatus for edge tape is provided to enhance productivity by connecting a raw material roll directly to a manufacturing line for cutting operation. CONSTITUTION: A cooling drum(20) is provided at one end of a body(10) of a slitting apparatus adjacent to a calendar apparatus(1) to cool rubber sheet(R) during passing the cooling drum(20) after produced by the calendar apparatus(1). A film unwinder(30) is provided at the bottom adjacent to the cooling drum(20) to unwind polyester resin film wound in a roll shape. The polyester film(P) and the rubber sheet(R) are combined together and then cut in the length by a cutter(40) to form a number of edge tapes(E). The edge tapes(E) are separated by a separator(70) to proceed in a distance. A conveyer belt(50) is provided in the downstream of the body(10) to transport the edge tapes(E). A pair of winding rolls(61,61') are provided at the upper part of the conveyer belt(50) to wind the edge tapes(E).
