PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a barrier rib of a plasma display device and a plasma display device thereof are provided to manufacture a barrier rib of a rear substrate of a plasma display panel device by using an electrophotography method. CONSTITUTION: A dielectric layer(43) is formed on a surface of a rear substrate(41) with an address electrode(42). A conductive layer(44) and an optical conductive layer(45) are formed on a surface of the dielectric layer(43). A surface of the optical conductive layer(45) is electrified. The optical conductive layer(45) is exposed by using an ultraviolet ray. A liquid toner layer is approached to the optical conductive layer(45). A toner is dried. The above processes are performed repeatedly. After that, sucking toner remained on a region excluding electrostatic latent image.
