A body supporting device capable of being used comfortably and continuously over an extended time and being easy in a movable support means-adjustment and simple in operation, and a handling method thereof; specifically, a body supporting device (1000), wherein a backrest means disposed vertically pivotably and widthwise inclinably comprises a movable frame (200) provided vertically pivotably with respect to and continuously to a fixed frame (100), and a plurality of inflatable air cushions (300) spaced apart from each other in a width direction of the movable frame (200) are interposed between the movable frame (200) and the fixed frame (100); a handling method thereof; and the body supporting device (1000') comprising a drive means (400') for actuating a movable frame (200') (supporting means), an operating means (500'), and an angle detection means (500') for detecting an elevation angle and twisting angle of the movable supporting means (200').
