<p>PURPOSE: A contact media of activated sludge for treatment of organic sewage and wastewater is provided, which can enhance the proliferation of microorganism by promoting creation and activation of floc of activated sludge as well as biological degradation, can separate solid and liquid obviously by increased cohesive force of activated sludge created by physicochemical reaction, thereby shortening the required degradation time and simplifying the structure of treatment system. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of contact media of activated sludge for treatment of organic sewage and wastewater comprises the following steps; (i) pour to automatic blender the loess that is processed to 80-100 mesh of particle, has specific surface area of 20 square m per g and consists of 45-55 % of SiO2, 25-30 % of Al2O3 and 10-15 % of Fe2O3; (ii) feed to this mixture 0.3-0.5 % of boron, 0.5-0.7 % of sodium chloride, 0.2-0.4 % of magnesium sulfate and 0.5-0.7 % of agar and blend homogeneously; (iii) produce particles of 80-100 mesh by adding water to the homogeneous mixture of step (ii) to make 20 % of moisture, by stabilizing for 72 hours at 30-35 deg.C and by drying; and (iv) blend to 50 % of processed loess 2-8 % of activated carbon of porous particle that is prepared by contacting in 5-10 % sulfuric acid for more than 2 hours to remove dissolved foreign material, 37-43 % of particle elvan screened by 60-100 mesh and 2-8 % of mud for producing the final product.</p> |
