摘要 PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for automatically adjusting a gain of an optical disk focus servo system are provided for uniformly maintaining a gain of a focus servo system by compensating a deviation with respect to a gain of an optical pick-up apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An optical pick-up apparatus(2) optically accesses an optical disk. A RF_AMP(14) is connected with a 4-split optical detection device of the optical pick-up apparatus(2) for detecting a high frequency signal(RF) and focus error signal(FE) from a 4-split optical detection signals(A, B, C, D). An analog/digital converter(ADC)(16) converts a high frequency signal(RF) and a focus error signal(FE) into a digital signal. A focus servo gain compensation circuit(18) compensates a gain of a focus error signal(DFE) based on the digital high frequency signal(DFR) and the digital focus error signal(DFE).
