MEMORY HAVING SERIAL PORT

PURPOSE: A memory having a serial port is provided which minimizes the area and the cost of design without comprising additional data conversion tool. CONSTITUTION: A memory having a serial port selects data signal and data bar signal of a sense amp selects data signal and data bar signal of a sense amp sense-amplifying data of a cell by a serial port enable signal and outputs them through the serial port. Thus the memory can be applied in a transfer system through a network without comprising additional data conversion tool. The memory comprises: a cell array(100) comprising a plurality of memory cells and storing data; an address buffer(110) storing a plurality of addresses and outputting them by a control signal; a decoder(120) selecting a specific cell in the cell array by decoding an output address of the address buffer; a sense amp part(130) outputting data signal and data bar signal; a first register part which outputs data signal of the sense amp part through an external output port, being enabled by a first output selection signal; a second register part which outputs data bar signal of the sense amp part through the external output port, being enabled by a second output selection signal; and a control part(160) controlling the read operation and the write operation of data and also controlling the operation of the first and second register part by receiving a first and a second data selection bar signal.
