PURPOSE: Provided is a composition comprising crude drugs for the prophylaxis and the treatment of liver diseases such as fatty liver, hepatitis, and hepatocirrhosis. The composition is used to effectively prevent a transition from the liver disease to the liver cancer and to treat the liver cancer. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 5-10 of Hedyotis diffusa Willd., 0.5-3 of Rhei Rhizoma, 0.5-3 of Astragali Radix, 2-7 of Paeoniae Radix rubra, 1-5 of Schizandrae Fructus, 3-8 of Galli Stomachichum Corium, 0.5-3 of Acori Graminei Rhizoma, 1-5 of Glycyrrhizae Radix, 1-5 of Amydae carapax, 2-7 of Crataegi Fructus, 0.5-3 of Curcumae Longae Rhizoma, 0.5-3 of Curcumae Tuber, 0.5-3 of White Gingseng Radix, 0.5-3 of Lycii Fructus, 0.5-3 of Notoginseng Radix, 0.5-3 of Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 1-4 of Eupoly ohaga, 1-4 of Manitis Squama, 0.1-0.5 of Bezoar Bovis, 0.1-0.5 of Raphani Semen, 1-4 of black sesame and 0.5-3 of lithospermum on the basis of the dry weight of the crude drug. The composition is present in the form of a tablet, a capsule, a pill and a granule.
