PURPOSE: A device and a method for supplying hot water of a vending machine are provided to reduce the quantity of power consumption by supplying water needed in selling goods to a tube for supplying hot water from a water tube and by supplying it to the needed part after rapid heating. CONSTITUTION: In the device and the method for supplying hot water of the vending machine, a few stages are included. In the stage of S10, a control portion initializes each portion of a vending machine. In the stage of S20, approaching of a user is sensed. If the user approaches to the appointed distance in the stage of S30, the water supply control signal is permitted to a valve driving portion in the stage of S40. If the user doesn't approach to the appointed distance in the stage of S30, it is returned to the stage of S20. In the stage of S50, water of the tube of rapid heating is heated rapidly. In the stage of S60, drinks are sold.
