PURPOSE: A kick-down brake of an automatic transmission is provided to smoothly operate a kick-down and to reduce shock, by compressing a kick-down band in both sides of a kick-down drum. CONSTITUTION: A kick-down bend(5) is divided to the two and compresses the circumference of a kick- down drum(3). A servo piston(7) is hinged on the kick-down bend to be rotated, is located respectively on the opposite position on the kick-down drum, and compresses the kick down bend on the circumference of the kick down drum by the oil pressure. A cylinder(11) is installed on a case(9) of the servo piston. A piston(15), which is moved by the oil pressure is equipped on the outside of a rod(13), and transfers the operating force to the rod. A sleeve(17) is installed on the rear side of the piston and forms the space between the piston and the sleeve.
