PURPOSE: A device for controlling location of an actuator is provided to prevent a tracking actuator from being biased to one side through locating the tracking actuator at a center of a transferring tool by installing a neutral location sensor on the transferring tool. CONSTITUTION: A actuator controlling device comprises a focus/tracking actuator(10), an optical detect unit(30), a focus/tracking error detect unit(40), a focus/tracking transferor servo circuit unit(50), a transfer tool(20), a neutral location sensor(70), a sensor signal generate unit(80), a sensor servo circuit(90), a power amplify unit(60), and a switch(S3). A current value outputted from the neutral location sensor is converted into IV(current/voltage) through an I/V convert unit and an offset compensate unit. Then, an intermediate voltage is outputted from a central location of the transfer tool. Moreover, gain is adjusted through a gain adjust unit. Phase of a signal outputted from the sensor signal generate unit is adjusted by a lead/lug circuit and a gain adjust unit for adjusting gain.
