METHOD FOR MATCHING PATTERN USING PAIR OF LINE SPECTRUMS

PURPOSE: A method for matching a pattern using a pair of line spectrums is provided for accurately matching a pattern by measuring a weight based on a recognizable characteristic of a human. CONSTITUTION: A line spectrum pair(LSP) vector is extracted from an input pattern(S1). A distance between a LSP vector of a reference pattern and a LSP vector of an input pattern is measured based on a weight which is dependent on an input pattern and reference pattern. The input pattern is matched by selecting the reference pattern which has a minimum measured distance(S2). In the present invention, it is possible to correctly measuring a distance between reference pattern and an input pattern using a weight dependent on the input and reference patterns.
