Provided is a filter paper, and method making same, using cotton fibers having a diameter between 9 and 23 micrometers. The source of the cotton fibers can be cotton rags, and in particular the off-cuts from denim clothes, with the pieces being chopped to the desired length. The use of such cotton fiber surprisingly results in a filter paper which has a high dust capacity as well as a high dust removal efficiency. |
