A closure cap 10 has a top wall 13, an outer wall 12, and a flexible inner wall 14 with an outwardly curved portion 20 for sealing against the inner surface of a container neck, and an inwardly curving skirt 15 on a lower end of the inner wall. The inner wall has a length of 2 to 4 mm, may be biassed in use towards the container neck inner surface, and its outer radius may vary by 0.2 - 1.0 mm from top to bottom. The skirt may taper towards its lower edge, may flatten or distort on contact with the container neck, and may have a wall thickness of 0.2 - 0.5 mm. The outer wall may have a screw thread 16 or a push fit arrangement. The top wall may carry an embossed design (22, fig 3). The cap may be used on a container neck with a compound radius of curvature, and the container may contain an aggressive liquid. |
