AN APPARATUS FOR DRIVING CATHOD OF A FIELD EMISSION DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A cathode drive device of a field emission display is provided to be capable of reducing the designing area of a chip as well as saving consumption power by decreasing the number of operational amplifiers. CONSTITUTION: An enable part(20) is connected to a bottom end of a cathode(10) and is controlled by a control signal such as a row address signal and a column address signal to form a current path between the cathode(10) and a ground. A voltage follower(30) is connected to the enable part(20) to cause a constant current to be flowed through a feedback. A variable resistor(40) is connected to between the voltage follower(30) and the ground to vary the current between the cathode(10) and the ground by an external control signal.
