PURPOSE: An optical disk is provided to use a deep groove method, and to have an identified recording characteristic on a land area and a groove area. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(10) includes plural deep grooves and plural lands having a height identified with height of the substrate. A recording film(23) is formed on the substrate, and a protect plate(29) is formed to protect the substrate and the recording film. Herein, a width of the deep groove and a width of the land are different from each other. Protect films(21,25) are formed between the substrate and the recording film, and the recording film and the protect plate to protect the recording film. A reflecting film(27) is formed between the protect film and the protect plate. An inclination unit is formed between the deep groove and the land for having specific width toward radius direction of the substrate.
