An inlay (28) of resilient thermal insulation material is inserted into the support rail (16) anchored to the rock and contains length grooves for receiving edge ribs (27) protruding at right angles from the vaulting panel end edges. A support rail which is curved in the transverse direction is used to secure together the ends of two adjacent vaulting panels (29), so that the rail end edges are in contact with the rock-facing side of the panels. A rail-shaped clamp (32) inside the rail and extending in its length direction extends over the joint between the two panels and presses the panels together with the aid of an edge piece (33). Extending at right angles to the rail is a row of rock bolts (11) to which the rail is secured. An Independent claim is also included for a vaulting panel with the edge ribs. |
