PURPOSE: To protect a tape against damage at the end part by providing a protrusion having semicircular cross-section at the end part of outer wall thereby setting the radius of curvature at the protrusion longer than one half of the thickness of outer wall. CONSTITUTION: Protrusions 13, 15 having semicircular cross-section are provided at the end parts of the outer wall 5, 7 of a protector 11. Consequently, the radius of curvature at the protrusion can be set longer than one half of the thickness (d) of outer wall 5, 7 but shorter than the thickness (d) of outer wall 5, 7. With such arrangement, a tape T is not damaged easily at the end part of the outer wall 5, 7 at the time of winding the tape T or after winding the tape T. Consequently, even an ordinary tape T can be protected against damage regardless of the thickness (d) of outer wall 5, 7 resulting in the stabilization of quality and the enhancement of workability. |
