PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of stabilized enzyme or protein is provided by using glucan having beta-1,6-residue, such as schizophyllan, scleroglucan, lentinan etc., as a stabilizer to main glucose chain of beta-1,3-glucan. Thereby, external preparation composition containing the stabilized enzyme or protein is prepared. CONSTITUTION: The method of stabilizing an enzyme or protein is characterized by using a glucan having a beta-1,3-residue as a stabilizer. The method comprises the steps of: reacting the glucan with a periodate; removing the remaining periodate from the resultant; adding 0.00001 to 10.0 wt% of the enzyme or protein to the resulting solution; adding 0.0001 to 1.0 wt% of reductant to resulting solution; and washing the final solution. The composition provides various effects, such as the removing of a stratum corneum, the controlling of sebum, anti-inflammatory property, the soothing of stimuli, the softening of acne(scar), antioxidation, the removing of toxin, the transfer of metal ion, the enhancement of elasticity, the removing of wrinkle, the prevention of aging, whitening, tanning, the prevention of alopecia, the removing of hair, the inhibition of harmful bacteria and fungi, the removing of odor, the treatment of sun damage, the treatment of hurt, and so on stably for long period of time.
