X-RAY AND ELECTRON-BEAM SOURCES

PURPOSE: X-ray and electron-beam sources are provided to have an electron beam accelerator, which is capable of driving successively, and an irradiation apparatus, which is capable of uniformly irradiating electron beams and X-ray. CONSTITUTION: X-ray and electron-beam sources comprise an accelerator(100), an X-ray irradiating apparatus(70) connected to the accelerator(100) via a beam line(40) and an electron-beam irradiating apparatus(80). The accelerator(100) consists of an electron gun(10), deflection magnets(20,20a), a coaxial acceleration cavity(30), and a radio frequency system(60). An electron beam from the electron gun(10) is incident to the coaxial acceleration cavity(30). The deflection magnets(20,20a) deflect electrons through the coaxial acceleration cavity(30) by 180 degree. The radio frequency system(60) applies a radio frequency to the coaxial acceleration cavity(30) so as to form an electromagnetic field.
