PURPOSE: A card type router built in a PC is provided for preventing a bottle neck problem due to a LAN interface unit, transmitting and receiving a data with a wide band communication network at a speed of a LAN, decreasing the size of the system, sharing a CPU, RAM of a PC and decreasing the number of parts for thereby decreasing a fabrication unit cost. CONSTITUTION: A card type router(200) includes a WAN(Wide Area Network) interface unit(210) includes a WAN interface unit(210). The WAN interface unit(210) implements a connection with a WAN and has more than two ports. The card type router(200) includes a board interface unit(220). The board interface unit(220) enables a direct installation into a PC(20) or a main board(22) of a server. In this case, the main board(22) has a LAN interface unit(24). A data input and output unit(230) is installed between the WAN interface unit(21) and the board interface unit(220). The data input and output unit(230) temporarily stores data until a transfer path of the data inputted into the WAN interface unit(210) and the board interface unit(220) is determined.
