U3O8 POWDER RECOVERY APPARATUS USING SCRAP URANIUM DIOXIDE PELLET

PURPOSE: An apparatus for recovering U3O8 powder using an inferior uranium dioxide sintered body is provided to freely control features of U3O8 powder in a conversion process from a ground residue of an uranium dioxide sintered body into U3O8, easily maintain the resultant, and ensure high productivity owing to continuous production. CONSTITUTION: An inferior sintered body supplying unit(1) supplies an inferior uranium dioxide sintered body to an oxidizing tube. The oxidizing tube(2) converts the inferior uranium dioxide sintered body into U3O8. A heating unit(3) heats the oxidizing tube(2). A drive unit(4) and a tilting unit(5) help the inferior uranium dioxide sintered body to be smoothly flowed. An air supplying unit(6) and an air discharging unit(7) supply and discharge air to and from the inside of the oxidizing tube. A powder discharging unit(8) discharges the U3O8 powder converted in the oxidizing tube to a powder storing container(10). A measuring unit(9) continuously measures weight of the U3O8 powder discharged to the powder storing container(10).
