PURPOSE: An apparatus for combining video signals and a method thereof are provided to reduce a jitter component occurring while interfacing video data between two systems. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for combining video signals includes an analog/digital converter(20), a delay difference detector(28), a signal delay member(26), a filter(34), a delay locked loop(30) and a mixer(36). The analog/digital converter(20) converts an analog signal to a digital one and output the converted signal. The apparatus for combining video signals combines a system clock signal with a synchronized first digital signal and a non-synchronized analog signal. The delay difference detector(28) detects an integer portion of a delay difference between the analog signal and the first digital signal. The signal delay member(26) delays a second digital signal output from the analog/digital converter with response to the integer portion. The filter(34) multiphase filters the input signal from the signal delay member with different group delays and output one of the filtered result with response to a code value. The mixer(36) mixes a code value, a predetermined value from outward, a value selected by the filter and the first digital signal. |
