PURPOSE: A method for computer security using screen saver in the network system is provided to concentrate on maintaining and managing every computer by remote controlling multiple computers from the center and to secure the computer within the above network system through the screen saver. CONSTITUTION: A method for computer security using screen saver in the network system is composed of determination, registration, interpretation, conversion, and response. The control computer waits for multiple number of network computers, which desire the protection, to register(400) and determines whether new registration request is present(402). If a request is present, the registration requested computer's information is registered(404) and the computer's information is stored in the memory(406). When the registration is completed, the registered computer waits for the screen protection command from the control computer(408). If there are no new registration requests from step 402, the control computer waits for the manager's command(410) and determines whether a manager's screen protection command is present(412). If a screen protection is present, the command is interpreted and converted into a command that will be sent to the registered computers(414) and delivered to the registered computers(416). The registered computers responds to the appropriate commands and locks the screen(418).
