PURPOSE: A digital music high speed recording apparatus and a recording method are provided for enhancing a recording speed by recording a music on a recording surface in different directions at the same time during a reproducing operation. CONSTITUTION: A user is connected with a communication network or an internet network using a PC(200) for recording a certain music, searches a music providing site(web site)(100), selects a music for recording into a cassette tape and downloads the selected music through a communication line using a music data program(music data of a layer(3) of the MPEG I). When selecting the music, it is possible to select about 14 musics at one time or select the musics by separating the musics which will be recorded into both tracks(for example, tracks A and B) of the cassette tape.
