PURPOSE: An apparatus for winding a sewing thread of a button is provided to achieve the convenient and safe winding work, to improve the efficiency of work, and to increase the productivity. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for winding a sewing thread of a button comprises a first gear installed on a main rotating shaft, a driven shaft having a second gear connected to the gear by a timing belt(200), a transfer bar(28) connected to an eccentric cam driven by a third gear(20c) for linearly reciprocating a driving shaft(218), a fourth gear(22d) connected to the driven shaft by a timing belt(200b) for rotating a drum(26), a twisting rotation device installed on the outer surface of the drum, a twisting motion device attached on the tip end of the driving shaft, a separation device, and a button hanging bar(58). The twisting rotation device allows a winding thread to be twisted corresponding to the rotation of a thread hanging plate(44), and is rotated for separating the winding thread from the thread hanging plate. The twisting motion device is advanced and reversed corresponding to the rotation of the twisting rotation device. The separation device grips and rotates the winding thread while being raised corresponding to the rotation ratio of the twisting motion device.
